seamonsters and mountains groan

the secret lines of space

and stars that swim the aether sea

for the dawn’s arising.

in a day of chaos,

the heavens crash into the earth

and You will close the womb

to all the thoughts that man gave birth

such as these, I cannot see 

beautiful and terrible

like a rose through the thorns 

though the bud was ripped and torn

when the cord is loosened

everything will fly apart

the red will turn to white

the Light will burn away the white

though my weary feet shuffle

in a line of sidewalk sighs

I know the moon is out,

my Sunrise from on high
